Day trip to Conflent : Villefranche and its heritage


Camping les Flamants Roses**** offers you an excursion to the heart of Villefranche de Conflent, in small groups (maximum 9 people) on Friday May 24, then on Mondays June 3, June 17 and September 2, 2024.

AUNESCO World Heritage site, Villefranche de Conflent boasts an exceptional heritage, with its ramparts encircling the city. Vauban, the “Sun King’s wanderer”, left his mark by fortifying the city!

Departure from the campsite at 9 a.m. for a visit to the Grottes des Canalettes (caution: 14°C inside, so bring a sweater!).

Free lunch break from 12pm to 2pm. We recommend the Catalan speciality restaurant ‘Le Patio’, which even appeals to vegetarians! (Reservations on 04 68 05 01 92).

At 2pm, meet in front of the ramparts of Villefranche de Conflent for a visit accompanied by our guide!

And to round off the day in style, we take you to the Orgues d’Ille-sur-Têt: a spectacular site classified as a protected area. Also known as the majestic fairy chimneys, this site is a veritable mineral jewel!

5pm – 5:30pm: Return to campsite

Day trip to the Côte Vermeille: Collioure and its vineyards


Discover Collioure, an authentic, unspoilt seaside village in Terres Catalanes, in a small group (maximum 9 people) on Mondays May 27, June 10, June 24 and September 9, 2024.

Departure from the campsite at 9 a.m. to start the day with a guided tour of the Caves des Templiers in Banyuls, where you’ll have the chance to taste the famous Banyuls and other local wines from different ranges.

At the end of the tour, you’re off to Collioure, where you’ll be free until 2:30pm to wander the colorful streets of the painters’ town, do some shopping and, why not, take a dip! For lunch, we recommend the ‘Chez Simone’ restaurant, facing the bay of Collioure, where you can enjoy fresh local produce combined with flavors from elsewhere (reservations on 04 34 29 93 47).

At 2.45pm, we’ll have the chance to visit Collioure on board the little train, to discover its history and deepest secrets. The walk lasts about 45 minutes.

And to round off the day in style, at 4pm you’ll have the chance to visit the Château Royal de Collioure!

Hiking and relaxing day trip Cascade des Anglais


How about a day combining sport and relaxation? Come and discover this beautiful medium-level hike accompanied by our guide! Don’t forget water, good shoes and comfortable clothing! Excursions on Monday, May 20 and Fridays, June 7, June 21 and September 6, 2024.

Leaving the campsite at 9am, it’s a 1-hour drive to Vernet-les-bains!

Once in Vernet-les-bains, a 2-hour hike awaits you. You can be sure of a change of scenery between the waterfalls and the lush gre enery!

Time for a picnic! From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. you’ll have a break to recharge your batteries in the middle of nature.

1:30 p.m., off to the Bains de Llo, where effort is followed by comfort! In these hot springs you can relax and enjoy yourself for 2 hours.

And finally, at 5pm it’s already time to head back to the campsite, but on the way there’s a short break at the Força Réal viewpoint above Millas, where you’ll have a magnificent view of the mountains of the Pyrénées Orientales and the sea!

Day trip to Leucate and the fortress of Salses


The natural landscapes in and around Leucate are breathtaking! That’s why we’re offering you this excursion combining sport and culture! Don’t forget water, good shoes and comfortable clothing! Fridays May 17, May 31, June 14, June 28 and September 13.

Departure from the campsite is at 9am. After a 35-minute drive, you can enjoy an easy hike from the Leucate lighthouse, accompanied by our guide. During this 2-hour rocky hike, you can see the semaphore, the redoubt and the Leucate lighthouse, not to mention the breathtaking scenery with a magnificent view of the cliffs!

After the hike, head for the oyster-farming center , 10 minutes away, for a free break to enjoy a picnic or sample oysters and other seafood from our beautiful region in an authentic setting!

In the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Fortress of Salses, a 2-hour tour where you’ll learn more about this military structure.

Day trip to Barcelona: discover the city of Gaudí


Discover Barcelona! Every Wednesday from May to September, as well as Tuesdays in July and August, we offer a guided day tour of Barcelona, departing from Canet-en-Roussillon at 6.25 am.

After a 2h45-minute journey, we arrive in Barcelona at 10:15 a.m., where our guided tour of the city continues with a visit to the Sagrada Familia (exterior view), Gaudi’s creations: the Pedrera and Casa Batllo, Plaça Catalunya, Monjuic Hill for a spectacular panoramic view of Barcelona, followed by a guided tour of the Gothic Quarter.

At 1:15 pm you’ll have free time on the Ramblas for lunch.

At 4pm you’ll take the bus back to the Parc de la Citadelle and the Arc de Triomphe.

Arrival in Canet-en-Roussillon around 7.30pm.

On Fridays in July and August, we also offer a free excursion to Barcelona, departing at 6.25am from Canet-en-Roussillon.

You’ll arrive in Barcelona at 10:30 a.m. and enjoy over 9 hours of free time, during which you’ll have the chance to visit must-see sites such as the Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell and the Gothic Quarter on your own.

The coach returns at 8.30pm.

Day trip on the Don Pancho cruise: Rosas – Cadaquès


Between the sea and the mountains, you’ll love this excursion, which takes place every Tuesday (departure at 7.15 a.m.) and Thursday in July (departure at 6.25 a.m.). The coach pick-up is in Canet-en-Roussillon.

From 9:45 am, board the Don Pancho at Santa Margarita and sail along the fabulous bay of Rosas towards Cadaquès. You’ll be able to admire the many coves and landscapes for which this beautiful rocky coastline, the Costa Brava, is famous.

In Cadaquès, enjoy 1h30 of free time to stroll through the flower-filled streets and discover this small white village made famous by Salvador Dali.

Return by boat to Santa Margarita, where the coach will be waiting to take you to Rosas, where you will have free time for lunch.

At 4pm, you’re back on the coach to discover the town ofEmpuriabrava, the famous“Catalan Venice“.

At 5.15pm, you’ll make a one-hour stop at the “Gran Jonquera” shopping center, then return to France.

Arrival in Canet-en-Roussillon around 7.30pm.

Day trip to Carcassonne: cruise and visit to the medieval city

To visit Carcassonne is first and foremost to take a trip back in time, to 2,500 years ago…

Nestled on a hilltop, the medieval city dominates the entire town and is said to be one of the best-preserved medieval ensembles in the world.

Come and discover this jewel of our history and stroll through its charming streets and alleys.

It’s a real immersion in the Middle Ages.

Every Wednesday in July and August, you can discover the medieval city of Carcassonne and stroll along the Canal du Midi.

Departure from Canet-en-Roussillon at 7.55 am.

You’ll arrive at Carcassonne’s little port at 9:45 a.m. for a guided boat trip of around 1h30 on the Canal du Midi.

You’ll pass theCarcassonne lock and enjoy a panoramic view of the medieval city.

At 12:00 pm, the coach will take you back to the medieval city, where you’ll have free time and lunch in this marvellous UNESCO World Heritage site.

Return to the coach at 4:30pm.

Arrival in Canet-en-Roussillon at around 6.30pm.

Le Petit Train Jaune day trip: in the heart of the Catalan mountains

Discover breathtaking scenery aboard the Little Yellow Train. The excursion takes place every Thursday from July to September, departing from Canet-en-Roussillon at 7.10 am.

Take a 1h15 trip from Villefranche de Conflent aboard the Little Yellow Train. Up to the Mont Louis – La Cabanasse station, you’ll discover rocky landscapes, interspersed withengineering structures and tunnels.

On arrival, head for the citadel of Mont Louis by coach, free time for a coffee break and on to Font-Romeu, the department’s flagship ski resort, the spectacular Four Solaire d’Odeillo and theSpanish enclave of Llivia.

Free lunch break.

Then back on the coach to the Roussillon plain, where you can continue to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery.

A stop will be made at the Villefranche de Conflent town and then it’s time for the return journey.
